Better than any in-ear so far
I use them daily on the go. During 30 - 90 minutes walks. Compared to in-ear headphones they are more comfortable, more secure and sound better.

ELECOM Mouse trackball wired grip 6 button black M-XT3URBK

Good concept not so great implementation
Let me start with the down sides. The worst thing about this trackball is the fact that bearings are not made out of Teflon. Bearings feels sticky and the ball moves in stutter. However unlike M570 the ball chassis is made of two separate parts. One can take it apart and yes remove the bearings. They are 2.5mm in diameter. It is quite possible to purchase Teflon spheres with this diameter and replace the original ones. The second down side is that in some rare occasions the optical sensor is unable to keep track of the ball. Again there is a remedy. The original ball can be replaced with ball from M570 (blue colored). It seems that engineers have made poor choice with the black color ball. Third. The scroll is not optical. This not so big deal. Although the scroll wheel feels stiff even after modding it. Fourth. The so called third clicker button will not work unless you install drivers. Now that is nit picking but in some cases it is annoying. No, Autohotkeys does not detects it. The plus sides (compared to M570). IT IS WIRED. So the trackball will not go into sleep mode. Of course there are wireless versions of this trackball. But if you are annoyed by the hundreds of milliseconds of cursor unresponsiveness wired option is for you. Also it is better for modding. Second. There is third clicker button. If you feel like your pinky can be engaged into something more than just growing a nail. Again you need to install the drivers for it to work. But you can set it to do whatever you want. Forth. You have more space for moving your thumb. Unlike the big cozy bed that M570 have here your thumb have the freedom to go all the way from the top to the bottom. Fifth. The middle button is a clicking switch. Unlike M570 where you have a tactile button (although it can be replaced). Sixths. The back and forward buttons have very nice tactile feeling. They also click. They are almost like real clicking switches. After taking the trackball apart I have found that those are indeed buttons but they are twice as high compared to regular buttons. Seventh. The scroll is not puny. If an optical encoder is used for the scroll wheel (read Logitech hardware) the scroll wheel is usually showing just a little bit. In this trackball the scroll wheel is big, ribbed and flat. Also using non-optical encoder makes it more precise in scrolling. You do not have some middle position where you got the tactile feedback but there is no scrolling. Here scrolling is more accurate, more exact. Eight. There is a DPI switch. I have not found a good reason to switch DPI from the trackball (yet). If you are into modding this button could be of use. Nine. There is a left handed model. The scroll wheel can be used as a joystick. There are left and right tilt buttons. This is more of a downside for me but its nothing that can not be fixed. It is very likely to push the right tilt button while attempting to press middle button. Those occasions decrease in time when you start getting used to the tilt buttons. In summary I would not recommend this trackball as your first trackball. I can recommend Logitech M570. Mostly because of the Teflon bearings. If you already have the Logitech and you are in pursuit of something better AND you an autistic nerd who can do modding then go for it. Sourcing replacement Teflon bearings, taking the trackball apart, replacing the bearings, buying a separate blue ball are things that not everyone have enthusiasm for.
