Bought two. both work but one has a nasty switch that takes some effort to press to trn the device on. for what I payed I guess I cannot complain.. but with everything offshore... It seems that there is very little consistency in manufacture.... the beam is much too fat. I would have expected about 0.125" beam but both are nearer 0.375" at only 40 feet. So that being said.. at "8000m" it should be a circle about 5-10 feet in diameter.... anyway. they work, Im not as happy as I could have been,,, They arrived without batteries. Be careful of that one or you;ll be waiting yet again while you order up some offshore 18650 or whatever it is that they are called... Good luck.
