TOSHIBA Satellite L505 series Laptop Replacement CPU Cooling Fan

Good replacement fan

Replaced original fan of Satellite L505 which became VERY noisy and had problems running after years of work and dust ... One star less that perfect as new fan was little smaller height that original, maybe 4 or 5mm. Other than that was a perfect fit. Works well, does the job, maybe a bit loud but not noisy at all. It may be my ears, as I don't remember how loud the original fan was when the laptop was new and running well. I didn't bother applying new thermal paste, new fan works well as it is.

Does what it says, has minor flaws

Pros: Works as promised, you can connect all supported devices, don't forget master jumper on IDE drives/CDROMs. Is fast, does not provide full usb 3.0 speed, but comes very close, as was expected. Cons (all minor): 12V 2A included power adapter is not enough for 3 HDDs, even 2 HDDs some times fail to start, but once you use more amperage, works fine. Power cable length is little less than a meter, could really use double length. Old laptop IDE disks connector is upside down, you end up with your HDD upside down. Did not check about big capacity drives, I don't intend to use it with them. Verdict: I am pleased with product, does the job, hope it lasts and would buy again.
