About

Greetings! I am a bipedal carbon-based life form. In my spare time I enjoy breathing oxygen, exhaling carbon dioxide, ingesting foodstuffs and buying ginormous amounts of Transformers. Tee hee.

The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck TPB 2007 DON ROSA OOP VERY GOOD CONDITION
Apr 26, 2021
Some of the best comic storytelling of all time.
It's completely understandable why this won an Eisner ward for best graphic novel of the year. This is like lightning striking twenty times in one spot, it's so amazing. Don Rosa set out to make a timeline of Scrooge McDuck's life, based on every tiny little offhand bit of trivia mentioned in Carl Barks' original duck stories, and also incorporate real historical details and geography AND show the arc of the character over twelve individual stories, AND make all twelve of those stories self-contained, AND have the art be top-notch, the comedy be hilarious, and the characterization be solid and touching. This book is like the most complicated ticking pocketwatch you can imagine. So many parts all working in beautiful harmony. Such boundless fun to read. Absolutely amazing work.
New Transformers MEGATRON The Last Knight Leader Class Premier Movie Jet Robot
May 07, 2018
The Voyager's better, but this one ain't bad.
The biggest problem is that the cockpit gimmick trips constantly. Also the plastic feels thin and a bit hollow. However, sculpting is nice, the backpack folds up impressively tidy, and the face-changing gimmick is great. Maybe not worth full retail price, but if you want a gigantic alien jet that looks like an oil refinery on fire, then Megs is worth picking up second hand.
Transformers Mpm Starscream
Nov 09, 2020
Exceeds expectations to a huge degree!
I got MPM Ironhide last year. Terrible figure. Joints too tight, joints too loose, parts that felt scary fragile, and nothing locking in on the mess of a torso. Starscream has NONE OF THOSE THINGS. Transformation feels GREAT for a figure this huge and complex. Sturdy plastic that grips pegs really nicely. Excellent ratchet joints in the legs, and metal feet, to offset the topheavy proportions. Poseability is fantastic, lacking only a bicep swivel. The back looks as good as the front. Nearly every single part has a place to go in both modes. The pectoral chunks are hanging off the jet mode, but that's forgivable. The transformation is difficult, however. Unintuitive. Especially the arms/chest. Do not give this to a little kid. I am an adult collector who's bought thousands of robots, and I still needed to watch a Youtube video to help me get him back into jet mode the first time. Thank goodness the figure feels sturdy enough that you can fumble around and not worry you're going to break anything. Movie Starscream is an ugly design. But this toy is so well-engineered, it actually makes him gorgeous. Best Movie Masterpiece figure they've made, hands down.
