Purchased this for my ‘97 e36. This scan...

Purchased this for my ‘97 e36. This scanner will not have full access to vehicle systems through the e36s 16 pin OBDII port and I had to buy a 20 pin adapter. If you need to use the 20 pin the scanner will tell you so after plugging in your VIN. I also recommend downloading the desktop app this allows you to update the software, purchase additional vehicle profiles, and easily view/print error reports. Once I was using the 20 pin connector the scanner worked exactly as intended, would recommend.
