OEM mandrel assembly for Craftsman mower decks
This mandrel assembly is an original Sears Craftsman part. I purchased it to replace an assembly on my 48 inch mower deck that experience a bearing failure. The replacement was simple and the new part dropped right in. Unlike the old assembly, the new assembly has a Zerk fitting so that the bearing can be lubricated. The new assembly is shipped without grease (which is standard practice) so it is vital that the purchaser fill it with grease before using the mower deck. There are no instructions included with the assembly warning the user about the need for lubrication which I feel is an oversight.

Realistic representations of Hayes bumping posts
My 5 year old grandson is big-time into trains. I agreed to build him a train board so that we could add some realism using accessories such as tunnels, buildings, cars and trucks, railroad crossing signals, etc. He wanted to add a couple spur tracks where he could park trains and cars when not in use. but I was afraid he might run the trains right off the ends of these spur lines so I purchased this set of three O-gauge bumpers. These bumpers are authentic representations of Hayes bumping posts commonly used in real train yards and track sidings. They're plastic but the plastic has a rust-like appearance. The bumpers are designed to snap into Lionel O-gauge track but our track was slightly wider so we simply used small track brads to secure the bumpers at the open ends of each spur run. There is a hole at the top of each bumper that allowed us to add a 5 mm red flashing light as a warning signal. We also added a rubber pad to cushion the blow when the train reaches the bumper. My grandson was very pleased with these additions to his layout.

Sturdy vacuum canisters, easy to use
I use vacuum canisters to maintain the freshness of foods and liquids that deteriorate quickly when exposed to air (e.g., fresh fruit, salads, milk, etc). I tried softer plastic containers that are evacuated using a hand vacuum pump and they helped but the vacuum level achieved was less than desired and the soft plastic lids didn't always maintain the vacuum seal. I decided to spend more money for the FoodSaver canisters because their canisters are molded plastic with sturdy lids that hold their seal for months. Additionally, the vacuum is created using the pump in the FoodSaver unit which is stronger than that of a hand pump and easy to use.
