These extend life of my carbon and membrane

I clean mine regularly, and replace every 3 months. Removing excessive iron at this stage keeps my kdf-85 and membrane from fouling up as quickly. The resulting water then goes to pressure tank and post filtration re-mineralization via ecospring cartridge and is great drinking water. We also water it to our live Bokashi soil tomatoes, without it going through the ecospring cartidge. Photo is of the recently removed old filter which is stained orange. You can also see build-up inside the kdf cartridge too.
