Great Value — Leaves little to be desired
Pros:
• Quality machining – screws thread in buttery-smooth
• Comes with everything needed for mounting any configuration – 8x Phillips countersunk screws for up to two 2.5" drives, 4x Phillips pan-head screws for a 3.5" drive, and 4x Phillips washer-head screws( + 4x plastic washers)* for mounting the adapter into 5.25" drive bay.
*{ plastic washers help reduce the transfer of vibrations from HDD(s) to the drive bay; use in installation is optional. }
• Drives are flush with the end of the adapter, protecting the drive(s) from bumps or knocks, while a cutout on the mounting tray provides adequate space for SATA connectors.
• Feels sturdy, yet lightweight – it would be hard to bend on accident.
Cons:
• Nothing blocking the front of the drive bay – if I open the bay door on the front of my PC case: I can see, reach in, and touch the drive inside.
Summary:
For the price of this adapter, if you need more drive space in your PC there's little reason not to buy this adapter; and if you're a computer technician, this adapter is so multipurpose, I'd recommend you buy one or two just to keep on-hand.
