Must See Film for any action fans!
Of the Nolan trilogy, this is the one that gets top marks (very similar to the "original" Star Wars trilogy, with Empire Strikes Back being recognized as the best). While I love Jack Nicholson as The Joker in Burton's film, Heath Ledger is incredible in re-imagining the iconic role. Christian Bale still works well as The Dark Knight, but we're beginning to slide down the slippery slope of the infamous "growl" that became utterly ridiculous in the next film. Morgan Freeman is, of course, terrific as Lucius Fox.
As for the production itself, it is a very dark movie (both thematically and visually). At time's you can barely see the action on the screen due to such minimal exposure and low lighting. As you would expect, the sound is astounding and the action sequences do not disappoint. All in all, a must-see for any action film or comic book fans.
