Superb!
2 of 2 found this helpful Excellent accessory tray, nice and stable, sturdy, and convenient.
If you need more space to put things down but keep them close by, like a phone or extra batteries or whatever, this is a no-brainer purchase. The tray's lips are bent up to boot so stuff doesn't just roll off easily or something. I wouldn't mind if the tray were a little bigger, though.
Being able to add another mic or mic with arm is just lol, but hey, I'm sure someone will find use for that. I'm going to buy a couple more.

ALMOST PERFECTION
Terrific studio monitor with very balanced tonality save only for some boosted upper midrange; very analytical overall sound, and it is apparently acoustically dampened on the inside, so it lacks the extra reverb that nearly all other closed-back headphones add due to their untamed cup resonances. Basically, it sounds like it plays back music in an anechoic chamber, no "closed sound" or "hallway sound" to it. Very suited to mixing work, and perhaps mastering, too. Bear in mind that I'm relatively a hobbyist, haha. Unusually even in clarity from the deepest lows to the highest highs, which is uncommon in this price range, in my limited experience. Lastly, it is light-weight and extremely comfortable. As a bonus, passive isolation from ambient noise is pretty damn good, too. This much isolation usually comes at the cost of having quite a vice grip on one's head, but Pioneer somehow pulled it off without that in the least. Bloody brilliant.
I've tried SRH840, ATH-M50s, DT770pro, KNS8400, K553, HD280, HD380, HD6MIX, and more over the years (mostly for the hell of it rather than any kind of real "necessity" or something - my modified DT770 with EQ satisfied me enough for mixing for several years, though I've taken a liking to using K553 more these past two years). HRM7 and K553 have impressed me the most of them all, though DT770pro-250ohm still has a slight edge in absolute resolution, the other two have other advantages that DT770 is lacking on its own.
I cannot recommend this baby enough, absolute must-try at the very least, I say. Pioneer really hit a home-run here.

Delicate
Fits only the cheapest stands, usually. Keep loads under 15 lbs. to be safe. The end caps that are supposed to prevent things from falling are very soft and useless.
