Just started using - cleans great but battery life stinks

Hi. We just ordered this item and started using it. So far it is great. It picks up dog hair and dirt, dust. We have had it run twice and emptied it once. It has only figured out one room’s area, so far, because it’s a big room with a lot of furniture. Works well. But the fully charged battery life really stinks. It lasts for an hour.
