2007 WRX - Wiring modifications Required
This was not an exact fit for a 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX. I had to make the following modifications in order to make it work for me.
1. The electrical connector on the new clutch electro-magnet is not compatible with the connector in the engine bay. The connector had to be removed from the old electro-magnet and soldered onto the wire lead from the new magnet and sealed up with shrink tubing.
2. I needed roughly a 6mm stack of shim pieces. What is included + what was already in the old clutch was not enough. I ended up using 2 12mm washers and 1 shim in order to get the spacing between the pulley and the splined clutch piece correct.
After these changes the unit worked for me.
