Worked where others wouldn't allow the PC to POST.
This one worked where an LSI and an Areca would cause a conflict and not even post, both of those had less PCIe lanes. This one works in a PCIe slot intended for a second video card. By default it is in JBOD mode which is all I wanted, you would not want hardware raid with either ZFS or BTRFS filesystems which do their own raid built into the filesystem.

High Value Switch, no longer available but still stomps on some recent switches, good value.
Pros: Four SFP+ 10gb ports, generous POE power budget. Light Layer 3 switch. Good VLAN support. Reasonably quiet, dashboard on web gui shows whether one or both fans are operating. Luxul just released an upgrade for their 24 port switch and it just now has four SFP+ ports being about 5 or so years behind this one. Blue LEDS turn to amber when a POE device is plugged in thus being more pleasant the more POE devices you have plugged in. Having four SFP+ ports allows you to use one to connect to other switches and three more to use for things like a file server going to something else that one would transfer a lot of files to or from. Hook two or more of these together via SFP+ and you will have three more 10gb ports available on each one.
Cons: Typical Pakedge Blue LEDS but not quite as eye damaging as their older ones. Could use a one or two more of these or better yet, the full S3 version. For sale randomly and no longer in production.
Pakedge was bought by Snap-AV I think and the new Pakedge 24 port plus switch only has two SFP+ ports per device. I also own one full S3-2P (not the light version here) and they are very closely related. If anyone has the latest firmware that was available for these, let me know.
Were it not for the blue LEDS, this would be a 5 star.

You'll want these, believe me.
Keep some of these around, they walk off on their own since nobody misplaces them ever.
