Not really 4 inches

The memory foam part of this is okay, it does help soften a firm mattress a little. However the padding over top feels horrible, and flattens out quickly. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I would not buy it.

This seat is so hard, it states but it has no softness to it at all. My bottom hurts from sitting on the cushion. I would not buy it.
