  I contacted the seller prior to purchasing the smart thermostat display, as I wasn't even sure if display replacement was something that would solve my problem. Andrew responded within minutes, looked at the picture and provided a detailed answer. Moreover, he also kindly offered to program the new smart display so it would work right out of the box.
