About

I have so many things I have accumulated during my lifetime. Now it is time to part with many of my mementos from my life well spent. Various trinkets from my life and my husband's life. He is more reluctant to part with his passions, like trains. I am somewhat limited in mobility now so there isn't much to do except puzzle and work on my family tree. I try to get items on eBay quickly or I change my mind! I also want to ship asap. That is only fair. You buy something, you shouldn't have to wait too long to receive it. If it makes you happy, it makes me happy. I was in the medical field for 30 years so there are pharmaceutical promotional items pretty much all over the house. Pen, anyone? :)

The Point Vanished
I found this new book in the Sharon McCone series at Barnes and Noble for $18+ and almost bought it. That was quite a discount over the list price of the book. I checked it out at Amazon.com and then I looked on eBay. I was quite pleased to find it at a price below what the paperback will cost when it is released in a year. I have read all the books in the series and have been a fan of Marcia Muller for years. I wanted to read this book in hardback because I knew that Sharon had married Hy, at long last. The plot of the story is basically good. A woman disappears. Twenty some years later her daughter decides to find out what really happened to her. She hires Sharon to find out. The trail to the mother's whereabouts goes all over Northern California to Klamath Falls, Oregon. Not much time is spent in the San Francisco office and the wonderful cast of characters who "live there" are only briefly brought into the story, and mostly over the phone. My problem with this novel is that there are just too many characters. I got totally confused about who was who and what their relationship to the story was. It was like reading the condensed version of the book, details were missing or glanced over. I did not like the way it ended and the resolution left me cold. I just did not like this book and like I said in the title, the point of the novel vanished in the story line. I'm sorry Marcia, I like you, but this was not your best work. Let's concentrate on the relationship with Hy a little more. Bring in Saskia but give her more than 2 paragraphs. I adore the crew she works with but let's get into their personal lives a bit more. Too many loose ends, too many plot lines resolved in a sentence. The least understood character to me was Mark Aldin. Poof! he's gone in a sentence. I will buy the next book in the series with the hopes that all these complaints of mine will be resolved and because I have every book in the series, I can't stop now. Point taken.

Replacement pump for Drinkwell 360 Cat Fountain
I was thinking I would have to buy a new fountain and took a chance on this replacement pump. It fits exactly like the old pump and is working quite well. I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank you.
The As Seen On TV Car Cane 3-in-1 Auto Mobility & Standing Aid w Flashlight New!

Enter and Exit your car with stable assistance
This car aide has been advertised on television and I have wanted one since seeing it. This is a multi-purpose tool, beyond the obvious of giving you added support in entering and leaving your car. The fact that it has the flashlight as well as the glass breaker is a bonus for me. I can now enter and exit the car without fear of stumbling or losing my balance and I recommend it.
