Compressor runs like new, be sure to install properly by removing the rod.
I should have done this years ago. Compressor must have been running at 50% of its original performance for a long time before it completely failed to make pressure. Now runs much quieter and fills fast. Don’t risk damaging the piston ring by trying to install up through the bottom of the cylinder. Remove the rod and drop rod assembly with the new ring installed down through the top of the cylinder. I smoothed the outer edge of the cylinder flange a little with a file so it would sit flush in the recess of the valve plate but you might not need to.
