Works!
This book is a "hard read" so attack it with a highlighter as you read it. That being said... my mother is diabetic and has been able to get and keep her blood sugar around 100 since applying some simple principles gleaned from this book...

Simple, direct instruction...
I'm an artist and bought this book for a friend because of the clear and simple instruction. As an artist, I know that anybody that can hold a pencil can draw realistically following the grid system. This book demonstrates that technique quite well. This book along with perhaps a good book on materials and techniques and literally anyone can create a wonderful portrait. (Hammond demonstrates her techniques with a 2b mechanical pencil) If you're reading these reviews then you already have the desire to draw and I can assure you that this book will help you. Remember, drawing is a skill that can be acquired.
