I am somewhat biased about this book. As I am a Great Grandson of Thomas Cocke who built Malvern Hills Plantation. The story and the events that took place there are part of the fabric that is America. This is a compelling book, filled with intriguing stories of events that literally shaped our Nation. Thomas Cocke named the Plantation after his homeland. Because of it's uncanny resemblance to the Malvern Hills in England.
