The Cat Who...cookbook
If you are a fan of the Cat Who books by Lillian Jackson Braun and have wondered about Celia, Mildred Riker and Iris Cobb's food that figures prominently in most of the books then you will love this cookbook. With the famous recipes of bread pudding, mac and cheese, meatloaf and the famous kabbibles come snippets of the books where the recipe is a part of the conversation. Naturally there are recipes that the rest of us Down Below might not have such as the Nasty Pastys and Taters and Neeps. With a few lucious sounding mixed drink recipes thrown in this is a very comprehensive cookbook. Its a lot of fun just to leaf through it but whether you are a dilletante or a serious baker - I highly recommend trying the Celia's Bread Pudding.
