Diekaiju Varan
For a movie this old the transfer on the dvd disc is quite impressive with stock footage as my only complaint about the film. Overall the cover art for the dvd is to my liking - the subtitles are understandable - and the storyline captivating for the times = Remember back in the 60's giant monsters on the loose films were engaging many since the advent of King Kong, The Beast from 2000 Fathoms and Godzilla with many fans requesting more. Varan doesn't disappoint and your sure to find this giant monster film just as entertaining with monster action and character build up going hand in hand with the storyline. On this disc is the Japanese version of the film plus an interesting extra on how they went about making Varans skin for this film. While the dvd is out of print and selling for upwards of 75.00 or more this is the film to get as compared to its Americanized version which tells a whole different story and not as good as the original Japanese version.

Gamera The Brave Returns
Tokyo Shock brings us Gamera The Brave (Toto) in an all new reboot of the monster turtle that protects the universe and is especially protective of children against an all new monster for Gamera to fight. Special features include trailers, tv spots, and a directors lecture on how to make a Gamera film. Awesome suff!

Gamera Rocks
1 of 1 found this helpful This is one dvd containing 11 adventures from Gameras Showa and Heisei generation that will have you cheering for him against the likes of some the cooler villains such as Barugon, Viras, Gyaos, etc. Considering all the movies fit on one dvd the picture quality is superb and if there one negative is that all the movies are on one dvd which kind of brings down overall quality but not too much in this case as the dvd stands up on its own delivering the straight goods - cool dvd cover too match.
