Bulbs that aim the light toward their bases.
These bulbs can point upward in the chandelier while sending most light downward onto the dining table, instead of illuminating mostly the ceiling.

Features high quality color photos of Bellotto's amazing paintings; discussions of his position as court painter; observations of his painting technique; information on camera obscura; inclusion of related works by Pesne, Rotari, Silvestri and Thiele; a timeline of historical events in that era. For me was a thrilling sequel to my 10-day visit to Dresden.

An manually illuminated clock not optimal for a dark room.
The nice-looking silent battery-powered alarm clock works fine, keeps good time. Only shortcoming for me is that the illuminated dial only lights up when one presses the button. I had bought it to keep me apprised of the time while watching Netflix in a darkened room, but I can hardly tell the time without coming over to handle it. I end up staying up later than I would like.
