Great song writing and very cool rhythms and grooves!
Good song writing with an original perspective and voice. The songs vary from Chuck Berry like grooves to Country shuffles to some Al Green slow jams. This is one of the best overall CD's as far as consistent quality of lyrics and musical performance. The songs are propelled by some amazing guitar playing and drums that are very upfront. This CD has a perfect bar band sound and is great to play at a house party. Randy Weeks has written songs that have been recorded by Lucinda Williams, including a version of 'Can't Let Go' which she won a grammy. This is a very well thought out collection of songs and if you like relating to music that speaks to your good times and bad, with no cliches, this is it.

If you love old Sci-Fi movies, it's a must have!
I purchased it because we had the VHS copy and had worn it out. We were glad to see this put out on DVD. Viva EL Monstros!
