Dependable Recipes Covering a Wide Range of Foods
This is one of the many cookbooks published by Southern Living that contain solid recipes that are kitchen-tested and cover a wide range of food categories. Southern Living cookbooks are great to have on hand when you need to find an appetizer last-minue or to come up with a use for all of those tomatoes that your friend dropped off. These are dependable cookbooks with timeless recipes.

Basic French Cooking Described in Detail
2 of 2 found this helpful This book does a great job of detailing exactly how to cook a number of dishes using traditional French techniques such as pan cooking, roasting, etc. There are many helpful photos plus sections with a Julin vs. Jacques approach where they present two different ways to do the same dish. A nice addition to any kitchen.
