Sarcasm & References Abound
It was an enjoyable, sarcastic, violent, fast paced romp through comic book mayhem. There were enough layers and nuances to require repeat viewing (maybe three, at least) to catch previously missed references.

Interesting to boys starting to read
This was purchased for a semi-beginning reader (he's started on Chapter Books). The content is right up the little boy humor alley and the story poses enough challenge to engage their interest and improve their reading.

Ordinary can be Extraordinary, Excellent Learning Tool
It's a book from a series of books geared towards teaching children about historic and pioneering individuals. It shares values and non-judgemental points of view. The story remains on topic with the main character and her life and how it affected her to do what she did and why it is historic or noteworthy. This series encourages individuals to recognize greatness in being ordinary and true to oneself.
