XT9Word feature works less than previous model
If you use the XT9Word feature on a Samsung Convoy 2 phone you will NOT like this newer version. The Convoy 2 had the ability to "train" or "learn" words that you frequently used and it would add them to your dictionary list so that they would appear as an option in the future. The Samsung Convoy 3 does NOT have this ability. If you type "kno" for example it always tries to make you say "Jon" and eventually gives you the "know" option. I have phrases that we use often and they are a pain to type in...each and EVERY time. Spent hours chatting with Verizon (looking for a fix) and eventually Samsung and was eventually told that that functionality was available on the Convoy 2 but not the Convoy 3. Some upgrade - looks like they need to do some sort of software fix. Other than that...the phone is nice. The screen is a little bigger - but honestly its hard for us to get past the phone's "inability to learn words" because that was apparently a big deal to us. You don't know what you have until its gone.... And we bought 2 of these things - would Never have purchased if we would have known that or seen that in a review. Very annoying to try and say what you ACTUALLY want to say. Try again Samsung. There are a few of us who actually still like the flip phones.... just not the Convoy3! I hope this review is for the product and not the seller. The seller was Amazing - just not the product.
