Worth the extra
This book is worth the extra time and money spent to acquire it. Highly acclaimed Henry Morris does a good job of writing so people understand, and the subject matter is quite interesting. Who would have thought that so much was based on Genesis? Since I have purchased this book, I've taken a more serious look at his other writings.

Explode the Code 3
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this workbook for my eight year old son. Actually, I bought 3, 3-1/2, 4, 4-1/2 all up front. I found that his public school had stopped teaching phonics and he needed help in this area and I needed help to help him! It has been a great tool for helping him with his phonics skills. It should be used in conjunction with reading as well. As you read with your child, you can point out the words he/she has learned in the workbook. I Like Explode the Code because it is black and white (it is not "busy" and does not at first glance appear confusing), large, bold print, a generous space for writing and there is a picture for every word as well. The directions are very easy ("circle it", "read, write, circle, and X it" "circle and X it", with a shape representing the word circle)so he can proceed independently if he wishes. I also recommend the teachers edition that goes with it, it is short but quite helpful.

Easy Reading
1 of 1 found this helpful I found this to be a very easy book to read. It is interesting, it follows a story line, as well as giving pertinent informtion to the reader in an example of day to day homeschooling. I learned more about nature from this book than I had known before and my curiosity about nature grew. The reading style reminds me of the Little House On the Prairie, with the very simple way of living as well as recognizing God as the one who created our world. The resources in the back of the book are very helpful too.
