Key not programmable.
I took the key to my Audi dealer to be programmed. They only agreed to try to program it because their supply of keys are limited due to the shortage of chips. They will only provide keys to owners who have lost their only key. I bought mine for a spare. They told me they key appeared to be genuine, but could not be programmed to work with my car. I also tried to get it programmed with all the recommended professional locksmiths in my area and they all said they could not program Audi keys.
