One of my best random finds ever!
A fine testament to the progressive metal genre. A few years ago, I happened to find this album just browsing metal CDs. I thought the name Shadow Gallery and album name Tyranny was worth taking a chance on (This is how I've discovered several bands including Dream Theater). I love this album! I love how it starts out with a fast paced instrumental, Stiletto In The Sand, and then blends into War For Sale, a song that those of us against the war in Iraq surely appreciate. The album continues on with more songs with incredible musical arrangements and harmonic vocals, along with lyrics concerning politics, conspiracies, and hopeless romantics in chat rooms. My favorites include the before mentioned above, Mystery, and Roads of Thunder. James Labrie of Dream Theater makes a guest vocal appearance. A great blend of metal, symphony, and heart.
