11th edition-professor's perspective
Our students like this text better than the others we've used, so they actually buy it and read it. That's what really counts in my opinion. Our PBL curriculum switched to this text last year and their mock board test scores in physiology went up 20%

Good and to the point!
This is a good text for medical school or reference. Not overdone with a lot of un-necessary data. Very readable. Processes and options are clearly laid out. Be aware though, that different specialties may indicate different follow-up protocols for the same condition. One example is a PE, treated in both cardiology and pulmonary medicine, but the latter does a better job in my opinion. You'll want to consider both points of view.
