I Was There
1 of 1 found this helpful I served in the 3rd US Infantry (The Old Guard) during the filming of this movie. I love watching this movie as many of my old friends have bit parts. As you can imagine, it's very nostalgic for me. There are great performances from James Caan, Anjelica Houston and James Earl Jones. Unfortunately, the lead role played by D.B. Sweeney, falls a little flat. I thought that part could have been cast better - but then, I was a little too close to the action to really be a fair judge.
There could have been a movie made about the behind the scenes stuff that went on to make this movie... Francis Ford Coppola's nephew was killed boating on the Potomac. James Caan and our battalion Sergeant Major had a few run-ins while James Caan was training for the part and much, much more.
Anyway, much love to my Old Guard brethren. I miss you guys!

BIg Improvement In Sound Over Custom Cables
Tried these on both a Marantz Reference and McIntosh MA2275 based system. Huge sound improvement over some custom, supposedly high end, cables. These are on par with Kimber 4TC series.

Use The Proper Glassware!
The correct glass is absolutely essential to enjoy what the distiller, brewer or vintner intended. For the uninitiated, I can’t emphasize this enough. If you invest more than $20 in a bottle, invest another $5 or $10 the shape of glassware that will do it justice! Never drink anything from a shot glass! That’s a measuring device! With that said, these have become my favorite glasses for better scotch whiskies and anejo tequilas.
