Should Have Researched This Product More
2 of 2 found this helpful The Sengled Snap Light does everything it is supposed to do. However, one HUGE issue is that you can't install it in a security light that has a motion sensor unless you re-wire the fixture to provide power to the SNAP at all times. I guess that makes sense, but I'll bet 99% of the security lights out there have the motion sensors...so, from a design standpoint, that's a big deal, but not a deal breaker. Another HUGE issue is some of the most basic features, like MOTION DETECTION, WILL NOT WORK unless you are paying for a monthly subscription. ThatI IS a deal breaker. The last thing I need is another monthly bill. So, if I want to set it up, it has to be ON at ALL times. Really stupid design/business model/scam. With no motion sensor activation, there's no warning if a prowler is roaming around outside. I am glad I only bought one to try it. Now that I know the details that I should have researched, I can go buy the RING Flood Light Camera like I should have done in the first place. I already have the RING doorbell and I love it, so I know what to expect from the security flood light and camera set up. Unless you're okay with paying a monthly fee, I would not recommend this product. If you are still considering buying it, do yourself a favor and go to the Sengled website and do your research like I should have.
