Cool , and well built treble / bass boost for electric guitar with loads of gain/ harmonics on tap
works well as a clean boost for a clean channel. but stands out for the crunch or especially lead channel where it acts to enhance the output , and harmonic content of the overall sound . not as good for a single channel amp for overdrive settings .

Definitive Mesa/Boogie tone from the only brand warranted in all Mesa amplifiers
budget friendly preamp tubes for Mesa/ Boogie amplifiers make it easy to get the best tone for the least amount . if the !st position is a little microphonic just switch it out for a more stable 12AX7 . or just spend a little extra on the # one tube and save yourself the work .

vintage tones for fender lovers
1 of 1 found this helpful authoritatively stratocaster all the way through the range of tones. the only draw-back ; depending on the cap used ( .05 uF 50V ceramic disc 5 pos. switch ) the neck position needs more dirt to really shine . but all in all a great set of pickups
