Cell provided didn’t fit

I previously owned this exact model & after a few years it quit. I was desperate to find another. When I received this I was happy as it was the same. But for some odd reason the cell provided w/ the iron does not fit. I try but it will not screw in. I had back up cells from previous iron which fit fine so I don’t understand the issue. Not mad but not totally happy
