Pretty good clone, but not a true Klon clone.
0 of 1 found this helpful This is a pretty good Klon clone, or maybe I should say counterfeit since it has no markings to distinguish itself from a real Klon Centaur and is otherwise a perfect copy. I didn’t have a Klon Centaur to compare it with, but I do own a Klon KTR. I did a side by side comparison between the Klon clone and the KTR and while they were a little similar, the Klon clone had much more gain and was a much “hotter” pedal. My understanding was that the Klon KTR and real Klon Centaur sound almost identical, so if you’re looking for an exact copy of a Klon Centaur, I’m not sure this is it. If you’re just looking for a pretty good overdrive pedal with Klon like qualities, then this pedal should do fine, although being a clone, I felt it should sell for a lot less.
