Not made by Pentax - still an OK value?

It "works" but was not made by Pentax and build quality and feel of the grip is not as good. If its something you will use often, you may want an original. Some components are seemingly identical, others, like the control levers, wheels, buttons are different, and feel weird. But again, if this is for occasional use or just to have different battery options, should be OK.

Easily use Pentax K mount lenses on C mount cameras

This is a well built, all metal adapter that allows a Pentax K mount lenses to be used on a C mount ( or CS mount with a C to CS extension tube ) camera. The adapter should work for any K compatible lense with an aperture ring. So this is the entire K, M, and F series. My application was using a K mount macro lens on a cheap C mount camera as an inspection camera. Because of the crop factor, you get a ~3x-4x magnification. So a 100mm macro will provide a 400mm equivalent FoV as seen through the C mount camera. Though a problem for any adapter, making a light baffle from a piece of black paper and using a lens hood appropriate for the smaller FoV improve things by reducing spurious light from bouncing around.
