simple external hard drive hookup
I had a computer "fry" that had nearly 1000 old family pictures on it, which I had done in a scanning/restoration project. The tech pulled the hard drive and said it may or may not be good. This device was inexpensive and worth the try. Although the power connection ended up being a bit of a fuss (thus the only reason I didn't give it a 5), I did get it to work....amazingly, the hard drive worked, and I was able to transfer the photos....which is going to end up to be a priceless Christmas gift to my brother.
