good quality hand tool
is a good quality battery operated tool, What I like about Ryobi tools is that they all take the same battery and that is by itself is reason enough to add it to my Ryobi collection. It's very light weight and easy to use. I also liked that you can change the blade with the flip of a lever and the blade can be put in either direction so you can cut with the blade facing down in the traditional direction or facing up should you have a tight spot and can't fit it in should the battery obstruct your being able to do so.
the only con I could see with the saw is that the safety button just above the trigger is somewhat hard to push in and I find myself sometimes having to change my grip so that I can get enough force to push in the safety button and squeeze the trigger at the same time. Depending on the angle and position you have to hold the saw in to do your cut, I at one point had to pull the trigger with my thumb and push in the safety button with my pointer finger because it takes so much pressure to get the safety button to go in so that the saw will operate.
Other than that it seems to be a well built and quality tool.
Yes, I would recommend this tool to a friend, and have.

pretty much plug n play. perfect fit
This is a perfect fit and easy to install. I like that they have incorporated the two wires that used to go to the capacitor into the unit, so that there are less connections. The generator now runs fine and I am good to go again.

quality could be better.
this is an exact replacement part. matches perfectly. How ever I think that the manufacture should upgrade it. I noticed on the old latch that the built in safety switch is not heavy duty enough to handle the load going thru it. I could see on the old latch that the switch had gotten hot and began to melt and the wires were burnt slightly. I was able to cut the ends and connectors of the wires off and replace with new connectors when I replaced the melted latch assembly. I just think that with time the new assembly will do the same thing and fail again in another two years. which is how long the original lasted.
