It works... sometimes.
My initial impression of this product was pretty good. I was impressed with the build quality and the looks. After installing my card and downloading the software the experience was as expected. I played for a few hours and went to bed. The next morning I started up my computer and ran into a "Thunderboldt device may not work properly" message...
Cutting to the chase here, I've tried everything from reinstalling drivers to a clean installation of windows with moderate success.
I have yet to pinpoint the exact causes of my woes but the "true plug and play" experience should not be trusted as advertised.
Also holy hell, it's much heavier than I imagined it would be(which I guess is a testament to it's build quality). People don't really talk about that but I guess this is a good thing.
RGB is worth it when it decides it's going to work.
TL;DR: I had a lot of trouble getting this to work consistently with my laptop (Lenovo yoga 15") your mileage may vary depending on your hardware and if they have worked out the software bugs.
