Spectacular 70s Kirby @ DC
Written and drawn by Kirby after his semi-popular Fourth World titles were cancelled, DC asked Kirby to come up with a new monster series for them, and The Demon was the result. The original series lasted 16 issues, but it fit in a unique ouvre - - uneven parts horror, mystery and adventure, it had a dark, fascinating and quirky energy rarely seen again in comic books. This series was reprinted a few times, but the format I bought it in is in Hardcover, printed and colored excellent on lightweight pages. Kirby's Kamandi was also reprinted in a similar format, as His New Gods, Forever People and Mister Miracle probably were, and these make a great addition to any comic book collector's library!

Smokey's Smokin' Oldies
Over 38 minutes of Smokey Robinson gold! 11 original tracks Smokey fans are more than familiar with that got plenty of airplay in their day, perfectly remastered - - NONE of them variated or remixed here, like he did in his later albums. Some of Motown's finest, with an oh-so-special, smooth blend of American Soul and Pop. Never duplicated, always imitated!

Great Value for a Great Product!!!
26 thought-provoking, fun-filled issues collected in two durably-made volumes, of a neglected Silver Age character master storyteller Grant Morrison revived for DC Comics. All true Grant Morrison fans should include these in their collections!!! A minor complaint that this work can stand a good, modern recoloring to bring in more depth than flatness, even though originally colored by the GREAT Tatyana Wood - - one of DC's finest!
