For Dummies and for experienced photographers
Digital cameras have gotten so complicated with more settings and more options for default picture taking that you need something to show you the landscape. This book does just that. Okay, I am one of those geeks who likes to read manuals and now fewer manuals come with the product that you need to chase down the PDF file online to get you up to speed. Most of these manuals do not have any navigation tools (jump to other related topics for example) and PDF files are, well, just files.
Enter Olympus E-PL1 for Dummies. The book is separated into basically four sections. First, is the ever needed overview of the camera and getting it going. Then there is a step-by-step guide for functions. Next is the menu guide. And, last is the fine print and index. All sections are useful and most of them help you to navigate the settings on the camera for taking fine-tuned photos. You want to take photos of fireworks that look like dark skies and bright flashes? There's a setting for that. Panoramic? There's a setting for that.
Easy to navigate the book; easy to use. Oh, yeh, comes in Kindle version as well...

Hard to find item!
It is hard to locate and spend a reasonable amount for a 1.35 camera battery these days, mostly since the original batteries were all mercury. I plugged 2 of these into a venerable Canon EF camera and they worked perfectly and there has been no drain since. Great to have!
