RUSH - PERMANENT WAVES (40TH ANNIVERSARY) (2 CD) NEW CD

Sounds great!

This review is for sound quality only. We all know the music! Finally what I believe is a flat transfer has been put on cd. Not since the original West German Mercury atomics has a CD release sounded this good. The MOFI gold is real good also. This a notch down from that. The Remasters started the loudness war and the Sectors box sets were ridiculous. This is the 2015 digital file used for the vinyl reissue, so I imagine that's why the wider dynamic range in terms of less compression and more of a difference between soft and loud passages. As for the live material? What would you expect...lol? Phenomenal!!! Enjoy.

Pete Townshend : White City-A Novel Rock 1 Disc CD

His best IMO...

Such a great album. Every song is so well crafted. You can say that about a lot of Pete's material, but this album stands out for me as his best solo work.

Non remastered sound make this the best package....

Great compilation. Highlights from the Mercury years plus Show Don't Tell from Atlantic era. Sound quality is main reason to get this, because it sounds as good if not better than my German Atomics. I don't believe this set has ever been remastered, and that's a good thing ! Highly recommended...
