Yamaha AX 596
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a very good integrated amplifier. It has a phono stage allowing for the use of a turntable fitted with a moving magnet cartridge (MM). The direct switches allow the signal from either the turntable or cd player to processed straight though the amplifier stage and to the speakers at the same levels established on the recording.
I do wish this amplifier had the connection for a subwoofer.
It does come with a remote. I understand there is an inexpensive module you can attach to the amp to allow you to use it with Bluetooth.
It has three outlets on the back that can provide up to 100 watts power to additional pieces of you stereo rig.
It is designed to run speakers from 4 to 16 ohms and can take two sets of speakers. You can run either pair or both together if you like.
Overall, I am very pleased with this unit. I like Yamaha gear quite a bit.
My first piece was a A-760 integrated amp which I bought used. It needs a recap so I pulled it and replaced it with the AX 596.
Our amp for home theatre is also a Yamaha.

Mosquitos bug you?
I take this device turkey hunting, fishing or when we mow the lawn. The Thermacell does a good job at keeping the mosquitoes and flies away. I only wish I had gotten one much earlier! The only downside is they are a bit expensive but with mosquito borne illnesses out there, I think it worth the cost.
When the wife mows the lawn, this device is on and with her. She won't mow without!
