Great value for mass storage
Recently my Windows 7 computer crashed after a long life of good service. Unfortunately, one of my external drives got damaged in the process. When I found the WD Elements drive, I thought, "Wow! It's twice the size as the one I lost for the same price." I decided to give it a try. I found it very easy to format and I was able to split it into 2 partitions; one for me and the other for my husband. We use it mainly for music and backup of other files. Since we both frequently access the drive, we decided not to encrypt it. So far we are both quite happy with its speed and ease of use, and continue to marvel at how much space we each have, even after moving literally thousands of MP3s, image files, and documents. Thanks for a great product!
