Lionel quality
As with all Lionel products, you can expect quality every time, and if there is something wrong with a product, they stand behind it and will do all they can to make it right. I know this from first hand experience.

Needed safety
This is a nice safety item for if and when the power goes out. My wife conducts dog training classes at night and this gives added safety, and reduces panic until I can get the alternator fired up to restore power to the building. Can either be wired with a cord and plugged into a wall socket or hard wired into an electrical box mounted in the wall.(preferred method) Holes are supplied for wall mounting to a box. Nice setup! Produces a good bright illumination and operates for a good amount of time on its internal battery. Operates on either 120 or 270 volts.(industrial voltage)
