I have replaced every coupler on all of my rolling stock with kadee #5 metal couplers, haven't had any problems, they work great and look like the real thing.

not expensive way to bring rolling stock back to life
I like this product to changeout old, worn trucks on freight cars to add new life to my rolling stock

make a great looking train
over the years I have collected 19 of these cars for my children, grand children, and great grand children, they all look like I got them together instead of over 46 years makes for a good sized train on the layout.
