Very well made and perfect replacement for 1975-1996 and newer evinrude outboards
3 of 3 found this helpful I have a 1983 Evinrude outboard and the original plastic geared parts finally failed in 2019 but gave me problems for years prior including hard starting all related to the fast idle lever not returning the throttle and timing plate to normal position. Bought this, cut the wires and matched them up with same color in old harness. One wire not same was white wire in old harness but connected it to remaining wire (forget color) from controller and everything works perfectly. Also bought new cables. So happy with this purchase I kick myself for not installing it sooner. I did not connect the motor tilt and trim switch on controller since IMO it looks like it needs relays installed (small wires) and my factory installed switch is very close by on the dash

Works great on my 48v Cushman titan utility vehicle. I made the mistake of buying a powerdrive club car type charger which is not a smart charger and was producing too much voltage (62-65) which cooks the batteries. This DPI charger is one smart charger and provides the correct final charge voltage 58.?? allowing me to plug it in and forget about it. Generation 4 has 32 battery choices to dial in charging for my batteries. Very happy with this charger and wish I would have purchased from this manufacturer the first time.
