Engaging and Entertaining for the Whole Family!
Another wonderful I Spy book. My five year old son has them all! These books are great for sharing--even with other kids who love to compete--I Spy books seem to lessen the need to win and encourage kids and adults to work together! This book is especially fun for the children who love monsters, Halloween, ghosts and spiders! A must have for anyone who loves a good challenge!

We are having FUN! (Even grandma plays!! ;-)
This is an enjoyable system if you have internet access--otherwise, it's pretty expensive for just gaming! But, since 'Wii' can get on the internet via our hi-speed, wireless cable connection--we can surf, download virtual games, participate in the voting channel, see global weather and news, and more, well.... it's just a lot of fun! There is a 'learning curve' for gaming. The nunchuk and the Wii-mote (remote) are very different from joysticks and buttons... but getting the kids up off the couch and getting everyone together to play a game is a bunch of fun. The sports game disc that is bundled with the Wii is a riot. Trust me, you will break a sweat if you choose to win at boxing!! And, you can 'train' and take a fitness test daily that will get your heart pumping. Yep--I know--it's not the same as donning shorts and taking to the golf course or tennis courts, but it sure beats the heck outta sitting and staring at a 2D screen with your feet propped up. My mom (a 68 year old great-grandma) has never learned to play the XBOX or any of the earlier Nintendo systems--and believe me--she's tried! But, she was up bowling and playing tennis against me and my six-year-old son within minutes of showing her how to play with the Wii!! And... now she WANTS to play! She and my son have a bowling 'grudge' match going... lol... I love the voting channel--it's kinda simple--but for my six year old it's just perfect. He loves that we each have our own opinion and that sometimes HE'S right and mom is wrong about how the voting might come out. You are also encouraged to submit a question a day that might be considered for the voting channel. My son loves to come up with these questions and even if they are silly, I'll let him send it in. It gets him thinking! He also loves to play with the globe on the weather channel. It's a wonderful 'teaching tool' for geography. He actually knows where Thailand and Ireland are now!! Plus, he can 'see' how far away some of our relatives live. It helps put the world in perspective in a way that a book can not. What's very exciting is the prospect of NEW channels becoming available. Hmm... wonder what's coming next? So, if you have a high-speed internet connection--invest the $$ and buy a Wii. It's a great way to get everyone up and active when you can't get outside--oh--and BTW--it 'reminds' you to take a break and go outside and play every once in a while--lol... that's just too funny.

Great for kids who like Nickelodeon characters!
My son -- at four -- was just too young to get the hang of this game. But, his cousins (6, 7 & 9) loved it! I think if your kids like the Nickelodeon characters and are old enough to understand how the games work, they'll love this one!
