Does not always want to work.
22 of 24 found this helpful Sound bar was never expected to give booming, theatre quality surround sound. For that, a much more expensive system would be needed. It is supposed to give a better quality and range of sound, than your typical television set will provide. In that regard, it does succeed. My biggest problem with the sound bar is that it often will not operate at all. The power comes on, but no sound comes out. I've had to try rebooting several times, but often end up having to use my TV's speakers. One "workaround " that sometimes works, is to pull the optical sound cable out of it's plug and reinsert. Don't know if I have a lemon or if this is a common flaw, but it shouldn't be this hard to get it to work. When it is working, however, it gives noticeably better sound.
