Mic Microphone Cable Cord for Kenwood Radio KMC-30 KMC-27A KMC-27B KMC-28A DTMF
    Feb 11, 2019
Cable imposes loud ticking sound on transmitted audio, improper design.
This cable causes a ticking crosstalk noise when used with MC-59 microphone. Thats because this cable uses twisted pair wires to carry the audio allowing the timing pulse to be imposed on transmitted audio / dead carrier. The original kenwood cable uses micro-coax with shield to prevent this crosstalk. The crosstalk appears as a loud ticking sound when the microphone is keyed.
